SCRIPTURE FOR THE DAY 1 THESSALONIANS 5:5-6 We do not belong to the night or to darkness, so we should not go on sleeping, as everyone else does, but stay wide awake and sober. LESSON The world offers comfort which darkens and destroys the soul but Jesus offers eternal life to all who follow him in truth. PRAYER Help us O Lord to know what is right, holy and true. May we not seek the approval of men at the expense of our souls. Amen
