There is a certain type of ‘nationalist’ that is not only happy to embody a number of negative lifestyle choices – but these ‘nationalists’ actually go further and seek to venerate such choices as if they were virtues. These so-called nationalists champion beer guzzling, smoking, obesity and cannot string a sentence together without swearing. These people are completely opposed to the idea of excellence, instead claiming that the nationalist movement can only achieve victory if it champions these negative traits and reaches out to the sections of society that embody them. Once this ‘outreach’ is completed, nationalist parties can then solve the issue of immigration and we can all live happily ever after. This is wholly incorrect. This is not only a recipe for failure, but it is a fundamental misunderstanding of nationalism as a political and social ideology. The goal of nationalism is not to prevent mass immigration and demographic change whilst at the same time fostering a nation of feckless alcoholic slobs who sit shirtless in their front gardens drinking cans of cheap lager before waddling to the betting shop to blow their weekly benefit cheque on the horses. Nationalism is not simply about preventing others from taking our land. Nationalism is about promoting excellence and striving for something better. Nationalism is about defending our land and raising up our people. We are the sons and the daughters of explorers, inventors, artists, writers, pioneers and great warriors. But most of all, we are the sons and daughters of an upstanding, moral and dignified people – and we should embody that. We wish for these nations to be our own so that we can flourish and grow within our borders and reach for new heights whilst being surrounded by, and immersed in, our own culture, heritage and traditions. We do not want these islands to be our own so that we can simply wither and rot in privacy as our people become a degenerate and grotesque spectacle who embrace every sickness and vice that global capitalism has foisted upon us. True nationalism seeks to end immigration and free the West from foreign influences, but it also seeks to free our people from the vices that have shackled them and prevented them from achieving their true potential.
