Just a little update for the day, #1… Stuff is happening on the #mountain! After pulling down the top of the hill by some ten feet and spreading it out, we had to bring in 29 loads of gravel to get the build site actually level! The 20’ x 30’ steel framed, insulated, utility garage was completed a few weeks ago, the trench from the well to the house has been dug, as has the first 20 ft or so for the geothermal lines running out of the house. Dumpster and pot a pot for the crews gets delivered tomorrow. DoubleB will start on the forms next week. Framing by ThermaSteel and trusses by All-Span are in the works. (Video also in the comments.) The #trees in the #orchard survived the winter and all are budding. Roxette pruned them all about a month ago and we’ll nip any fruit off in the bud so that the trees put the energy into building strong trunks and limbs first. So much to do when starting from scratch, managing the process yourselves, and doing in in a fairly remote area!
