The North African campaign of World War 2 did not end before the first German heavy Panzer Mark VI "Tigers" appeared in Tunisia where they played a critical role in the crushing of the green American army's combat debut at the Kasserine Pass. Unfortunately for the Reich, one of their number would be captured virtually intact by the British and promptly shipped to the UK for field tests and evaluation. It survives today on display as the famous "Tiger 131" at the Bovington Tank Museum. the only remaining operational example of its type in the world #TigerTuesday
