I suspect the biggest impediment to Scottish Independence is the SNP, which is somewhat ironic. They have had years to demonstrate that they can govern responsibly, like grown-ups. But instead... There must be many Scots leaning towards independence but are thinking...whoa, hang on... When you bear in mind how appalling Westminster is, it's quite an achievement to be worse.
