I have just posted a fundraiser to “Go Fund Me” asking for help bringing the highest quality Psychotherapy Services to those who are on Medicaid (and I don’t take ANY insurance assignments) or don’t have insurance at all. These are human beings who are in serious need of the highest-quality Psychotherapy Services, but because they’e on Medicaid (Govenment) are relegated to Community Mental Health Services (run by the Government) who are primarily staffed by Social Workers or Bachelors-level Therapists, who are inundated with cases (in my day, I had 91 patients!) and cannot keep up. So, the turnover of therapists is great, and those who truly need the help are turned-over once again and placed on yet another waiting list. Human beings don’t get mental health treatment on a waiting list. Therefore, I’m asking for your tax-deductible help so I can give them the time, attention and quality psychotherapy services they need, and still be able to put gas in my car and food on my table.
