Jorė, Jorigė, Jorja is a Baltic pagan Spring festival that used to be held to honor the deity of Spring, greenery & animals, especially horses, which used to be identified with thunder. After the arrival of Christianity this celebration, unfortunately, has mostly merged with Saint George's day.
