Sea kale (crambe maritima) is not kale. And I am kicking myself for not getting more. It's a European gourmet plant, cooked like asparagus. As a rare plant, its hardiness is open to argument but it's grown as a cultivated crop in Norway (minus 40C), zone 2a. We do know this famine plant, is rich in nutrients and minerals. But I'm growing it as an architectural standout blue-green plant that is extremely drought-tolerant. Now, to see if it lives up to it's hype. Anyone else grown this plant below minus 30C or eaten it? The mystery continues
