I was never under the spell of this world. They say that people are going to be shocked. That's true for the lot. But not so much me. I was never fully here in a sense. I know ways past the illusions. I know of the great evil that has made the world believe certain things that never were. Even making people old and young forget things that were present in years past but they cannot recall now. I know they've had famous figures declared dead in some far away past, only to have them die in a more recent past. It scrambles the minds of people because they see to it that any trace of the first telling is vanished. I know they make roads and highways all seem the same, and can move through time to place incidents beforehand. I know they can use the daylight to distort memories and re-image things that never were. But I have escaped by means of being so sharp in memory and attune to all tone and music and sound, that I'd feel relief at any disclosure. That I knew the story hidden for so long.
