Good morning #GabFriends I am still working my way through Leviticus and as far as the feasts, but more on that later. Leviticus is a book for redeemed people. It shows how God is to be approached and worshipped and there are many principles there that apply to today. Exodus is the book of redemption but Leviticus tells how the redeemed ones worship. Only through the blood of Christ can we access God. God demands a holiness that Christ alone can give, for we are 'partakers of His holiness' (Hebrews 12:10) In Genesis we see humanity ruined In Exodus we see humanity redeemed and in Leviticus we see humanity worshipping. I have always been fascinated with the SHEMITAH CYCLE (7 year cycle) as it relates to the end times; however, in Leviticus we find 7 really significant. Every seventh day a sabbath, every seventh year a sabbatical year. Every seven times seven years was followed by a year of jubilee. Pentecost was seven weeks after Passover. In the seventh month were the feasts of trumpets, tabernacles and atonements. Pentecost lasted seven days. Passover lasted seven days. This book, much like Revelation is built around a series of sevens. Truly fascinating. I hope this inspires you to revisit this book and re-read it.
