What happened? The Andrew Warren / DeSantis Decision For years, elected DA Andrew Warren, a Jewish-American prosecutor whom George Soros supported, ignored BLM/AntiFa rioters while prosecuting Christian pastors for holding church services during Covid. Warren stated that he would defy Florida laws if he disagreed. On Thursday, DeSantis suspended Warren. This makes approximately 300 state officials suspended and/or replaced by the DeSantis Admin at varying levels. Warren is one of the highest profile suspensions. Why is this important? It gives a clue as to how DeSantis would operate if he were President. For two decades, despite its politically right wing leanings, previous administrations - Republicans Jeb Bush, Charlie Crist, and Rick Scott - allowed leftist political actors to become deeply entrenched in power positions within major cities and government. Additionally, a very powerful coalition of Jewish activists out of the Miami and Tampa areas have teamed with George Soros' myriad of political action groups and the ADL to move laws further to the far left. Anyone touching these far left actors was instantly accused of antisemitism. Previous administrations wilted at the threat. But DeSantis did something none of the others had done. In the mid 70s, Florida created a state review board, the Division of Administrative Hearings (DAH). It provided a judicial review over state licenses, contracts, etc. The idea was a good one. It stripped executive-led agencies from having sole authority on issuing licenses or suspending them without a functional appeals process. Over the years, positions with the DAH have been filled with ultra radical, leftist agitators tied to primarily, but not exclusively, to Jewish activists. This enabled the denial of licenses by a board that got out of hand. For example, if you stated something deemed "antisemitic," you were likely to have licenses denied - forcing a costly and prolonged judicial review. DeSantis almost immediately fired and replaced everyone on the board, replacing them with allies. Meanwhile, while DeSantis was kissing a wall in Israel, he began removing most of the lower administrators by means of executive review. The ones he targeted for removal were aligned to Soros backed groups. Soon, and with little fanfare, DeSantis eliminated the power of external groups - like the ADL - to destroy political competitors in Florida. Here is what happened next... In the past, if you were a business elite with deep pockets who donated to an unacceptable political candidate, the ADL/Soros would refer your business to the DAH, until you relented. That forced business leaders to back their chosen candidates and positions. Disney thought they would enjoy this protection. While all of them were not looking, DeSantis changed the board. Now, the political right has the money to back even more right-wing positions without the threat of retaliation. After this was done, DeSantis began removing folks like Warren.
