Not sure what I just saw. A LARGE satellite burning-up over NW Nevada, 21:00 hours PDT. Took approximately 1 minute to transit from due S, where it was just starting to break-up, to when the trail of burning debris disappeared near the ENE horizon. Were literally hundreds of individual pieces burning, all with distinct trails. Holy Carp. 55+ years of staring at the night sky, this was the most impressive. Can't believe I saw it, I had just covered up my telescope and put my eyepiece case away, and was getting into the car. Saw it thru the window, as I was closing the car door. I almost missed it. Wow.
