I am so disgusted with both the army and the government right now it's not even funny. For those of u who don't know, I was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and I underwent some intense radiation and chemotherapy which killed the cancer but it also killed both my small and large intestines leaving me with a colostomy, urostomy for life. It also killed my lymphnodes leaving me with lymphedema for life. It also crumbled my teeth leaving me with no teeth. Now when I applied for disability through the VA I was told that since I ETS'd in 1997 and the cancer didn't show up until 2015 then too much time had passed so not only was my disability denied, the VA would not give me any dental coverage because u have to be retired or disabled to qualify for dental care. This meant I had to go 5 fucking years with no teeth while I waited for state disability. Now fast forward 5 years and I wake up to discover my dog has chewed my dentures into pieces so I called my dentist to get another pair of dentures but Medicare, medicaid and humans all denied my claim because I can only get 1 set of dentures every TEN FUCKING YEARS. So if I go through Medicare I'll have to wait another 5 years. Now I'm going to have to pay $2600 ($1300 each upper and lower) Now keep in mind that they told me spending an entire year in Kuwait on top of burn pits and uranium had nothing to do with my cancer. God only knows what they shot us up with before we deployed but again, all that was just a crazy coincidence there's nothing to see here.
