I decided, since I know next to nothing about #WH40K, to give this supposedly formative audiobook a listen. I'm about 1/3 of the way in and, I gotta say, it's pretty fantastic, whether or not it's actually canon. The original writing is good and devoid of almost all pretention, and the fanboy doing the reading is quite talented, IMHO. So far it seems to me that in the War Hammer universe you have your choice: Demonic and Sadistic Chaos or Order via Unrelenting and Unforgiving Pious Tyranny. Choose wisely, because there is no middle road.
