https://vimeo.com/922810136?share=copy So the T-80B has been finally added to GHPC. And it is a beast. Of course, to make things even, the missions where you get to drive it must be harder. This one here is probably the hardest mission in the game so far. Things for me got very hairy towards the end where I had to face 4 M60A3s at basically point blank range at once. Thanks to shoot and scoot tactics as well as a bit of luck, I was able to dominate the engagement. Anyway. This mission here has a lot of long range shooting. And I do mean a lot. So get used to be able to spot targets out to 2.5km. The hardest portions of the level are the two M901 tank destroyers (aka Wall-Es) and the two AH-1S Cobras. The M901s require a direct hit from sabot to the gunner since their hulls are hidden behind dirt mounds and the Cobras are at a flanking angle. That is why at the final part of the level, I took my platoon and veered off somewhat to the left. That way my left flank is protected from the Cobras while I support the other T-80B platoon. The disadvantage of this is I will need to fight 4 M60A3s at close range but this is better than getting shot in the side by the other 4 M60A3s. Although even at close range, the T-80B actually stands a pretty good chance. Turret composite and large portions of the UFP at that angle would be impenetrable to even M833 at close range. This means they pretty much have to hit weakspots. Which tbh would not be hard at that range. So I moved my tank around to not make myself a completely easy target and also tried to fight one tank at a time.
