Contrary to popular belief, Helldivers 2 on the new Super Helldive difficulty is actually quite playable on bugs. You just need to not have skill issue and have the correct build. Which most HD2 players have, which is why they needed the Flamethrower glitch and heavy AT weapons to kill Chargers all the time. If you have skill issue, you need not use this build. But then again the Grenade Launcher (spoiler alert) is a weapon that requires skill and practice to use to its full potential. Personal weapons: Cookout, any secondary you like, Stun Grenades Stratagems: Grenade Launcher, Supply Pack, Eagle 500 kg Bomb/Eagle 110mm Rocket Pods, Orbital Precision Strike/Orbital 380mm HE Barrage (can change depending on team composition and scenario) Armour: You can kind of use basically any medium or light armour, although I went with medium Fortified Highly recommended to get some high ground to make the Grenade Launcher more effective. Also from high ground the Thumper (aka Grenade Launcher) can easily kill Chargers by splashing the rear and blowing it off with 3 grenades. Cookout for Hunter swarms, Stalkers, Shriekers and for staggering and weakening Alpha Commanders and Hive Guards. Stun Grenades mostly for Charger-type enemies. Your secondary for the most part doesn't matter. Just use whatever you like. Grenade Launcher for Hive Guards, Alpha Commanders, any Spewer, Stalkers at range, Chargers, Bile Titans if their armour is blown off as well as any kind of massive bug concentration. This is your light artillery option. Supply Pack is here not only to keep the Thumper fed but also anyone on the team using ammo-hungry weapons like the Spear ATGM launcher. Against lone Hive Guards, shoot only one grenade to save Thumper ammo then finish off with incendiary effect from the Cookout to maintain a still-reasonable kill time. Same for lone Alpha Commanders but you fire two grenades instead. For Chargers, find high ground if possible and aim for the ground below its rear. Even just a bit of elevation helps immensely. Stun Grenades also help quite a lot here but may not always be necessary. The Eagle 500 kg Bomb slot is for Bile Titans. I personally prefer the 500 kg in general but in some scenarios I prefer the 110mm Rocket Pods. In highly forested planets, the Rocket Pods are better because the 500 kg tends to get caught by all the trees. Contrary to popular belief, the 500 kg is actually quite effective. But most people have skill issue who can't use it properly. Against Bile Titans, what you do is bait the spit then throw the 500 kg beacon a bit in front of the Bile Titan. Once it finishes spitting, it'll walk right into the bomb, usually resulting in a one hit kill. If Complex Stratagem Plotting (CSP) is active, throw the beacon further in front. The final slot is situation dependent. In most 40 minute missions, I tend to prefer the Orbital 380mm HE Barrage since usually they are taken by no one else, although Orbital Precision Strike is an equally valid pick in my opinion. The 380mm Barrage is best summarised as a problem solver for problems even a Thumper fed by a Supply Pack cannot fix by itself. It can not only be used to provide breathing room in dire situations, it can also be used to help clear out those very tough Mega Bug Nests. It is also useful for covering a retreat. On the other hand, Precision Strike is an excellent option against hard targets with low cooldown, so this can be just as effective in combat if used to take out particularly problematic targets. Precision Strike is actually even easier to use against Bile Titans than the 500 kg due to much faster call in. If CSP isn't active, you can just throw the beacon under it while it's spitting and it's a guaranteed hit and (usually) a one shot kill. If CSP is active, you can just throw the beacon a little bit in front.
