Re-posting here a premier example of Unakceptable_views diligent research, and hard-work. 😄 En passant, I would like to quickly add that the short reference (see below) to Elihu Yale's employment with the East India Company in Madras (now called "Chennai") was visited by your's truly back in 1996. I performed a thorough in-situ exploration of Fort Saint George ... whereupon I discovered an original (but rarely seen) marble statue of Yale stored "out of sight" in a small anti-room, atop a rarely used staircase. Back in the mid-1990s, most of the popular 35mm Cameras had become way too clunky to travel with, while digital cameras were still futuristic, and not yet available to the public. Therefore, I was travelling in 1996 with a cheap point-and-shoot camera that allowed me to take simple shots in good light, but very little in poor light. Which is ironic, because my travels during the mid-1990s took me to several photogenic locations! My Nikon FM (which I had purchased back in 1980) was stolen from me by a pair of opportunists, after I had fallen into a fast flowing river (a tributary of the Hudson River) in Upper New York State, while canoeing.
