Quanta is still looking to put together a compendium of first chapters for books published by indie authors. The purpose of such a compendium is not to make money (the price point stays as low as possible and monies earned go into advertising for the book), but like the yearly anthology, to get your names on more books and to expand your exposure to readers. At the end of your first chapter, there would be a link going directly to your book so readers can continue reading the story if they liked your first chapter. This works well for authors who have multiple series, but if you don't, getting together with other authors can perform the same function.
