#TrudeauMustGo Hits 600,000 Tweets - Then Trend Disappears

Canadian Conservative Party candidate Roman Baber slammed Twitter for apparently removing the #TrudeauMustGo hashtag from the trending list after it hit over 600,000 tweets on the platform by Monday morning.

“Twitter must decide,” he tweeted. “Are you with the Regime? Or will your algorithm respect Freedom of Speech? You too Meta, what are you going to do?”

Many users used the megaviral hashtag to air grievances with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s handling of vaccine mandates, travel bans and divisive language towards political opponents and citizens who don’t comply with his views.
