During #MeToo, men would look at literal rapists and be like “Oh so we’re just ruining men’s lives over a few rape accusations now? If we can get fired from our jobs for rape, what’s next?” I’m not defending Lindsay Clancy and I’m not defending the people defending her. I don’t know enough about the case to argue on its details. But the hypocrisy of the misogynistic outrage, saying women need to be put back in our places because this is what we do with rights, etc, is pretty fucking hypocritical when you all were shocked that violating a woman, putting her through the worst torture imaginable, forever scarring her body and mind, would have consequences for the perpetrator. Maybe take a look at yourselves first.
