There is a power behind the throne. But the usual suspects are no more than a smoke screen. If we want to talk about the real power, we need a name for them, even if we don't know who or what they are. Lets call them "The Deep West" The deep west is the power source that directs and has directed western actions for at least 150 years. Possibly longer. It is not nation specific, and not even specific to the west. But it has used the west for its agenda, and is still using it. The deep west is very clearly not pro-western. It only serves itself and will drop the west like a used condom if it thinks this would serve its purpose. Despite all that, the deep west is not all powerful. Attempts to spread into Russia, China and several other countries have failed. So they can be challenged successfully.
