When the Republicans are in power, they typically don't accomplish anything. Or at least not like the Democrats do when they're in control. Think about it. Democrats created the Federal Reserve, passed the NFA, passed the Gun Control Act of 1968, and passed the Hughes Amendment of '86. Democrats created social security, and the welfare state, passed the Great Society reforms, created the Department of Education, They put in place "Don't ask don't tell" in our military, eventually passing gay marriage at the federal level, and now openly promoting transsexualism. Now they're pushing the Marxist critical theory. These are HUGE accomplishments, that have forever changed America. What have Republicans done for their cause? I can't think of one thing, the Republicans have done that has moved the needle in the other direction. Yes, there have been tax reprieves. The assault weapon ban of '94 did sunset. But what have Republicans ever done that is lasting and makes America Great? At most, Republicans only seem to slow down the decline. They never do anything lasting to reverse it. Often they've given the left tools for America's destruction, like all the nifty government capabilities that seemed like a good idea to fight terrorism, never thinking the government might one day call American patriots terrorist. That's the thing about giving the government expanded capabilities because "your guy" is in power and wants to do "good things" or do things you want to be done. Eventually, your opposition gains power and uses the expanded government against you. Republicans seem to be a "hold the line" kind of political party. When they come to power for a few years, the top of their agenda is to reduce taxes and pause America's leftward move. ...at least for a little while. https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.abcotvs.com%2Fdip%2Fimages%2F850993_politics-ss-gop-logo-stock-img.jpg%3Fw%3D1280%26r%3D16%3A9&f=1&nofb=1
