I've seen on so-called conservative media, social media and right-leaning influencers all up in arms complaining about entertainers that choose not to perform at 250th America celebrations. Stop it, that's pathetic. Everything has become partisan. Celebrations that should be about America, it's people and yes their differences United under one flag, Freedom for all. And yet its being turned into a partisan event, shameful. Freedom is about having the right to choose what you want to do, as long as it's not trampling someone else's freedom. Entertainers who choose to exercise their right not to sing for a partisan event is something conservatives use to celebrate. But now things are way too partisan. If an artist chose not to sing for a Democrat/left leaning event, conservatives would be celebrating and saying they have the right not to. But when an artist chooses not to do a right leaning event praising the current President, they're criticized. That isn't celebrating freedom of one to make their own choices. It isn't conservatism to force entertainers to choose a side, you're either with us or against us, that is silly. Entertainers should just be entertainers.... Who cares who they support or anything else, just sing and be quiet. That's what conservatives use to want. Just be entertainers we don't care about your politics, Keep that to yourself. But not now, if you don't idolize this administration, participate in right-leaning celebrations that praise this administration you're dead to us, that is shameful, that's not conservatism, American, and it's certainly not freedom. We have strayed so far. Idolized Christ and Christ alone. Not your favorite politician or political party. Be able to celebrate America together with fellow neighbors regardless as their political registration. The celebrations of America shouldn't be overtly partisan, shouldn't be overtly praising any particular administration or individual. It should be about the years of hard work of the American people who built this country, the military that has sustained its freedom and those founding fathers who put their lives and their fortune on the line to chart a new course, a new country, a new destiny. Those that have laid their lives down and those who still live with the scars and injuries of war, didn't fight under a flag for a political party, they did so under the banner of America, all of America.
