We tend to stop reading the Easter story at the empty tomb. But what happened next? In Luke 24:50–53, the risen Christ leads His disciples out, lifts His scarred hands, and blesses them — and is carried up into heaven. These were the men who had slept in the garden, denied Him, and hidden behind locked doors. If anyone had earned a rebuke, it was them. But their last sight of Jesus wasn't anger or disappointment. It was His nail-pierced hands raised in blessing. That's the heart of my final message in our journey through the Gospel of Luke: "The Ascension of Jesus: He Lifted His Hands and Blessed Them." 📖 Read it: https://www.scottlapierre.org/ascension-of-jesus/ ▶️ Watch it: https://youtu.be/pjgpIcGZgaE #AscensionOfJesus #Luke24 #GospelOfLuke
