FEB. 2023 Sunshine’s initial request for a higher reimbursement rate was denied. AFTERWARD Hobbs and her then-campaign manager dined with Sunshine owner Simon Kottoor and others associated with the company. Hobbs denies discussing state business. MAY 2023 DCS approved the increase from approximately $149 to $195 per child per day. INTERNAL Sunshine’s status as a donor to the governor was mentioned during internal DCS discussions about the rate request. THIS IS NOT A CLOSED CASE
