A #tactical #laser is far more than an aiming device. It is first and foremost a communication device. The message it sends is so profound that flashing a laser across a window will send most #intruders away without contact. There is a downside, it is also a bright line that tells where the operator is positioned. I would never leave one on for long. I don't consider a home defense gun complete without one. That includes all #guns that can mount them #shotguns #pistols #rifles #carbines . I would consider keeping a pen laser for use 1 if you refuse to operate or cannot operate a firearm. I believe a tactical laser is most valuable when switched momentarily and used for three things. 1. Deterring intial contact by sweeping the laser and letting the aggressor know you are armed and probably a capable shooter. 2. Holding the laser on the center mass of an aggressor to control movement from distance. 3. Dispatching the threat by ensuring optimal placement. I prefer cheap bulky old school lasers bc the batteries last longer, they are brighter, and they can be rewired easily with a soldering iron.
