π¨π³ MEET THE CHINESE BUDDHISTS 250 million people. One of the largest Buddhist populations in the world. And millions are still searching for hope. Behind this enormous number are families, parents, students, business owners, and children who need to know the hope found in Jesus Christ. β€οΈ βΈοΈ Buddhism has been part of Chinese culture for more than 2,000 years. Today, many Chinese Buddhists are nominal in their practice, while a renewed interest in Buddhism has created new opportunities to share the Gospel. βοΈ Christians make up only about 1.5% of this population. ββββββββββββββββββ Every other consideration and plan and emphasis is secondary to that of wielding the forces of prayer. - John R. Mott (1865-1955) π HOW CAN WE PRAY? ποΈ Pray for freedom from materialism. Many associate Buddhism with prosperity and good fortune. Pray that those searching for security and blessing would discover that true hope and lasting life are found in Jesus Christ. π₯ Pray for spiritual breakthrough. Pray that hearts and minds would be opened to the truth of the Gospel and that many Chinese Buddhists would be drawn to Jesus. β€οΈ Pray for Buddhist monks and teachers. Chinese Buddhist communities extend beyond China into places such as Thailand, Singapore, and Taiwan. Pray that monks and teachers throughout the diaspora would be drawn to Jesus and discover that the hope they are searching for is found in Christ alone. ββββββββββββββββββ π WILL YOU PRAY? Every year, an estimated 2.5 million Chinese Buddhists die, many without ever hearing the Gospel. π Please take two minutes today and pray for at least one or two of these requests. Your prayers matter. Ask God to open hearts, reveal His truth, and draw the Chinese Buddhists to Jesus. β€οΈ 250 million people need the hope of Christ. #PrayForChina #ChineseBuddhists #PrayForTheUnreached #UnreachedPeoples #PrayerForTheNations #HopeInJesus #JesusChrist #GreatCommission #LightTheWindow Image by Anja Pietsch - Flickr.com
