As far as I can tell from his surnames he is Kayastha. I daren't ask my family because they think caste is racist. > Kayasthas, alongside Brahmins, are regarded as the "highest Hindu castes" that comprise the "upper layer of Hindu society." They're like the equivalent of Knights in Europe.
