"Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; yearn for and seek His face and to be in His presence continually!" (1 Chron 16:10-11 AMPC) Lord, what a challenge to seek Your presence continually. Not just once a week on Sunday. Not just for ten minutes in the morning. But continually. When I'm at the gas station filling the car. While I'm waiting for the keurig to make my cup of coffee. When traffic is horrendous and it's taking forever to get to my destination. When I'm in a meeting and I'm only halfway focused on the speaker. When I lay my head down on the pillow and struggle to get my thoughts to subside so sleep can begin. How many other minutes are there throughout my day that I can be actively seeking You? You never want to be put in a box on a shelf that we only open periodically. You desire to be part of every minute of every day of our entire life. Help us Jesus, to be more consciously aware of You. Let the Christian radio station in the car be more than background music and truly bring us into praise and conversation with You. Forgive us for ever having a part-time mentality about You. In Jesus's name amen.
