USMC 1973 - 1979!!! Congressman Burgess: These comments relate to the attached article lamenting why no one wants to join the United States Armed Forces. It's not a secret. It's obvious. I was in the Marines from 1973 to 1979. My 20-year-old son recently asked about joining the Armed Forces. It wasn't that long ago that I would have responded with Marine Corps tales of daring do, world travel, anecdotes, and lessons learned. I would have told him about the fast friends I made in the Corp I still communicate with after 50 years. That's not what I said. I discouraged him from joining. Here's why: After the January 6th election integrity protests, SecDef Austin ordered a stand down to root out White Supremacy in the US Armed Forces. Austin didn't bother to define White Supremacy. Anyone who knows anything about Stalinist tactics knows Austin said, "Show me the man, and I'll show you the crime." Joint Chiefs Chair Mark Milley struggles with his "White Rage." Because Milley is concerned that he's not woke enough, he works to ensure proficiency and professionalism no longer matter in the United States Armed Forces. Because of Milley and Austin, men were killed, and $85 Billion in working equipment was abandoned to our enemies when our forces were ordered routed before goat herders. The Academies, Air Force, Navy, and West Point have incorporated Marxist Critical Race Theory into their curriculums. That means we'll have hundreds if not thousands of incompetent commanders, just like Mark Milley and Lloyd Austin, worried about pigmentation and pronouns rather than lethality. We're engaged in a conflict that is about to go nuclear without the benefit of: a. A Declaration of War; b. A Treaty with Ukraine; c. The Consent of the Governed. Our civilian leadership doesn't know, care, or understand the gravity of the situation. You, Cruz, Cornyn, and others are blindly writing checks you can't cash for reasons no one understands. Our borders are non-existent. Unelected CCP Cutout Beijing Biden's drug cartel masters are poisoning our children, raping our women, and directing our president. I don't know why you, Cornyn, and Cruz don't care. This should be a hair-on-fire moment. We are watching the real-time collapse of the United States of America. You whine about Ukraine while Texas and the rest of the United States sink into the pit. If our executive and congressional branches don't care about the United States, why would I tell my Son to join any branch? Why would any father? If he enlisted, you'd have him in Ukraine defending Beijing Biden's money laundering operation, not protecting our country. Neither my Son nor I am interested in participating in mandatory prancing, dancing, drags queen fun. Neither my Son nor I am interested in living with those who brag about their butchered genitals. Neither my Son nor I are interested in participating in Milley Mandated "Struggle Sessions." The United States Military is rushing headlong to join the re-writing of history. Statues are coming down. Bases are renamed. This rewrite tells veterans and potential recruits that we've been lied to all along. These actions prove that the current government is not steadfast and true but that all the past sacrifices were for nothing. If my Son joined the Marines today, he's not serving the country I served. The United States is dissolving on our watch. I don't know what you people are doing or why you're doing it. Mostly, I no longer communicate with you Cruz or Cornyn. I write Governor Abbott or Attorney General Paxton. I ask the Governor to accomplish the following tasks: a. Create a Gold-Backed Texas Currency; b. Secure Federal Facilities in Texas for Texans; c. Secure ALL Texas Borders, North, South, East and West; d. Recall all Texas Armed Forces. I ask that you, Cornyn, and Cruz call Governor Abbott and pledge your support for the points mentioned above. Then, call the rest of the Texas delegation and ask that they do the same. If we don't do the following: a. Abandon Ukraine; b. Impeach Beijing Biden; c. Secure ALL United States Borders. America is lost. Despite the horrific tragedy the Chinese Controlled Biden Administration has and is inflicting on the United States, maybe we can save Texas.
