The Real Story Behind the Song — Part 1 🎸 “Small-town nights, big-time dreams.” That line in Rock & Roll Never Let Me Go isn't something I made up. That's me in 1977 as Ace. A few years earlier, I was a kid sitting in my parents' basement listening to KISS records and wondering what it would feel like to be up there someday. Then four friends put together some homemade KISS costumes and entered a Gong Show. Were we ready for the big stage? Probably not. 😂 But in our minds? We were already there.
