Fellow Gabbers, if you're a homeowner (even renters) in the Los Angeles or North OC area, I highly recommend attending The Apartment Owners Association of California (AOA) annual Trade Show and Landlording Conference. It's a free educational and networking event tailored for rental housing owners, property managers, real estate investors, and developers across Southern California. There's a lot going on at the state and local levels that impact you directly. This free event is one of the best places to get resources from attorneys, tax agents, developers, etc. The event is held twice a year.
