There was a week in the early summer that I was actually considering getting the vax…I was falling prey to the propaganda to be honest, and knew that eventually it would be mandatory in my field (although I DIDN’T think it was a mere month or two away from that!)… Then I had a post cardiac arrest patient; medic’s report was that she had dropped while cooking dinner, they had gotten pulses back but she was fixed and dilated…we kept losing her in the ER, but finally after the 8th round of epi we got her back and kept her there. Got her to CT before transport to ICU. Within 30 mins of arrival there she coded again. And again. And again. Her family called it and allowed her to go. 50 yr old mother with a young child and two teenagers that I literally picked up off the floor after bringing them into the ER to see her and start what I knew would be their final goodbye. Bilateral hemorrhagic pulmonary embolisms (bleeding blood clots in her lungs)…hemoglobin of 5. 2nd covid vax three days prior. Apparently had been complaining of chest pain for two days. Family was worried, but she wouldn’t come to ER. Only PMH was hypertension. A woman bled out in front of my eyes after the vax. There was NOTHING I could do to save her. She haunts me. SHE is the reason I left nursing rather than getting the vax. So fuck anyone who tries to shame me or pressure me. I will NOT comply. This is my hill. And I will stand in support of you if it is yours 👊🏽❤️
