U.S. added 162,000 jobs in August, well above the 53k expected. Unemployment held at 4.1%. Biggest gains: restaurants (+59k) and local government education (+42k). Manufacturing +16k. Information sector lost jobs. Wages: +10¢ to $37.75/hour (+3.1% year-over-year). Participation rate ticked up to 61.6%. Strongest monthly payroll gain since March.
