This is an email I sent to the Associated Press about an article they ran: I just finished reading this article written AP Michael Biesecker. In this article he claims Babbit was shot while climbing through the broken window of the door within the Capitol building. His lead is the fight between Babbitt and another female named Norris over a man. Biesecker must have felt this must have been an important story to making his case that Babbitt was an unhinged right wing nut even though it had absolutely nothing to do with J6. https://apnews.com/article/ashli-babbitt-capitol-siege-a15c7e52a04d932972b7a284c7a8f7df Maybe she was or was not. However, to print this days before the one year mark of her death is beyond cruel and inhumane by any standard. 1. Show the video of her climbing through the window. There isn’t one. Biesecker lied to give further significance to his story. Videos show Capitol police standing in front of the doors on the same side as the protestors. To restate - there were the doors with glass, Capitol police in front and between the doors and protestors. A protestor is convincing the Capitol police to leave for their own safety. The police abandon their position and leave. Within seconds, a male protestor starts beating the already busted glass and the gun is fired. Babbit who was standing is hit and goes down. 2. Should she have been there? No. Should she have been prosecuted for being there? Yes, given where she was at and the crowd she was with. But she did not deserve to die. Because she supported Q made her worthy of dying? According to Biesecker he must have felt so or he wouldn’t have bothered to print it. 3. The real story is why did the Capitol police abandon their position when there were swat teams on the landing behind the protestors. Why did Byrd fire his weapon when there was police to his left and swat on the landing? Why did Biesecker make no mention that Byrd is a supporter of BLM? We have all seen the photos of him decked out in his BLM hat and shirt. If the editor and author worked for me, they would be out the door before the door had a chance to hit them in the ass. This doesn’t come close to any journalistic standard. This purpose of this piece is twofold; 1) fan the flames of hate and 2) divide America even more. This makes you unfit for society.
