We are trapped in the upside-down. One Christmas season I was stocking toy shelves at Target for some extra cash, and this boy came in with his mom; she said he could pick out one gift for his birthday and that would be it. He looked like a fat kid in a candy store, so excited and shy, trying to take it all in. He saw me in one of the aisles unpacking big boxes from the back, and came up to me and asked me what I had, calling me sir like a little gentleman. I pulled a Captain America Defender set out and when he saw that shield I swear I thought his eyes were going to pop out of his skull. None of those were on the shelves yet so the extra element of him getting a "special" toy made him even more excited. He looked at his mom and politely asked her if he could have that one. She said yes she could afford that one, and when I handed it to him he excitedly thanked me like I had just handed him Excalibur. He grabbed his mom's hand and floated out of that store with that shield under his arm. It is one of my all-time favorite memories. Huge difference between that, a kid raised properly to respect others, to be grateful for what one has and to show gratitude, and the horrible stuff kids are doing in this video. https://youtu.be/LcjxvGQl6cQ
