Last night Jesse Watters put it plainly: They will look a parent in the eye and lie. They will tell a boy he is racist for the color of his skin. They will tell a Black girl she is incomplete without a political payout. That is not education. It is a campaign. It runs through classrooms that used to teach reading, writing, and arithmetic and now spend the hour on pronouns, privilege, and politics. The aim is not a smarter child. It is a child who is guilty, confused, and easy to divide. Public school used to belong to the neighborhood. Now too much of it belongs to an ideology that treats the country as the problem and the student as the project. President Trump called that kind of teaching toxic propaganda — poison that, left alone, eats the civic bonds that hold a people together. The question is no longer whether the problem is real. Watters named it. Trump agreed. Parents and grandparents who still care about the child, not the slogan, have a choice: Stand by while the country’s story is stripped for parts — or take the school board, the curriculum, and the classroom back. Watters made his choice. Trump made his. Now it is ours.
