It was so hot in Australia in 1878, that birds were dropping dead out of the trees and chickens were dying in large numbers. Bourke reached their all-time record maximum temperature of 122F (50C) https://realclimatescience.com/2021/03/nine-degrees-warming-in-sydney-by-2070/
