Mandala Day Five | Daily Practice Before bed last night I removed the last orange from its net packaging. Feeling the net and seeing its firey orange-red colour I thought I would use it to make a mandala in the morning. When I sat down to create this morning, I did not know what was going to happen, and the process was more in-depth than I allowed time for. There are a lot of things that occurred during the process that I could investigate further to see if there is a metaphor or meaning that is relevant to my life in this present time, but this will occur when I go through all the images together at the end of the month. My biggest takeaway was that this was largely a sensory piece. I enjoyed all the tapping-like behaviour and the scrunching of the paper at the end. From my hands gently tapping the netted material on the paper, to stapling, to the bingo dapper and smooshing of acrylic paint sticks, to the more intense sensation of pushing the needle up and down through the paper, a little more dabbing and then the crunching there was a lot of lower left brain, kinesthetic action going on today. A great emotional release. https://youtu.be/s2apBoCwOLs #mandala #dailypractice #psyche #carljung #healingjourney #awakening #unconscious #psycotherapy #art #blueprint #ETC
