THE TEMPLAR PIRATES - The Secret alliance to Build the New Jerusalem (pdf 96 pages) “It might seem absurd or extravagant to claim that Templars and pirates maintained a close relationship. However, recent studies and discoveries have confirmed what unbiased historians and scholars of so-called secret societies have already believed for a long time: The alliance, complicity, and identification between the Templar knights and pirates went so far that apparently they even exchanged roles. Both Templars and pirates gained possession of some of the most powerful fleets in history, and they at least sailed in the same ships-or, better yet, were the same people. From the beginning of the fourteenth century onward, many Templars became pirates, and later, many famous pirates and corsairs observed the laws of the Temple or formed smaller lodges inspired by this order (such as the Brotherhood of the Coast in the Caribbean and the Libertalia sect in Madagascar). In 1312, when the Vatican banned the Order of the Temple and confiscated all its possessions, holdings, and fortifications, the Templars-who were already excellent mariners-committed themselves permanently to the sea. Their immediate objective was very clear: to take revenge upon the pope and the Catholic kingdoms that served the Church. Their great fleet, moored at the French port of La Rochelle, vanished as if by magic. __________ Later, after some transformations, which will be recounted, the "lost fleet" of the Temple reappeared, hoisting for the first time the dreaded black flag bearing the skull and crossbones. The Templar ships were dedicated largely to attacking the vessels of the Papal States and kingdoms allied with the Vatican, with the purpose of weakening the earthly powers of the Church. Since these powers were reflected in the flamboyant wealth of Rome and its allies, there was no shortage of spontaneous pirates willing to join the hunt for tempting booty. It is of no small significance that these autonomous bandits, serving the interests of the Temple in one way or another, were the prototype of the pirate coined by official history. The truth is that the actual founders and instigators of "modern" piracy were the Templars, first in the Mediterranean and later in the Atlantic and the Caribbean; they gave rise to the golden age of corsairs, buccaneers, and freebooters. Navigators felt winds of independence and liberty blowing on the seas, and knew that the waters held ancient mysteries, that the waves were murmuring age-old secrets. On the great oceans, timeless and without masters, pirates and Templars influenced one another, building an ideology and a dream that left a mark on a large part of the later history of the Western world, and which probably even determined its future. ________ The life of the pirate added a spirit of vitality and free will to the severe discipline of the Order of the Temple. The Templar knights, one must note, did not attack Catholic ships solely to take revenge on the pope, nor did they seize valuable treasure simply out of greed for riches. These actions formed part of a greater plan, which some scholars connect with the legend of Atlantis and lost sources of occult knowledge. Christian esotericism maintains that the Order held and guarded secrets such as the true identity of Jesus, his alleged marriage to Mary Magdalene, and the fate of the Holy Grail. Their ultimate, perhaps utopian objective was to establish a new universal order based on spirituality, humanism, and wisdom, possibly inspired by the memory of an ancient era. In the cryptic language of the Temple, this dreamed-of utopia was called the New Jerusalem. With this secret objective, the Templar navigators fought a long battle against ruling dogmas and interests, symbolized by the Vatican as the seat of power and a materialistic deviation from the true evangelical message. Assuming that the ends justified the means, they used piracy, homicide, infiltration, espionage, and conspiracy to influence fundamental events of history, or to play the lead in them. __________ These events were the geographical discoveries funded by the courts of Spain and Portugal, including the voyages of JEW Christopher Columbus; the founding of Freemasonry as a civilian branch of the Temple; the peak of the age of Enlightenment; the outbreak of the French Revolution; the founding and independence of the United States of America, and its powerful navy; the emancipation of the Spanish colonies in America; the struggle of Garibaldi for the unification of Italy; and the triumph of the “antislavery” Union in the American Civil War. In addition, the Templars acted as bankers in the High Middle Ages, financing thrones, wars, and crusades and granting loans to explorers and merchants that were later paid back into the castles and fortresses that the Order owned.” https://archive.org/details/ErnestoFrersTheTemplarPiratesTheSecretAllianceToBuildTheNewJerusalem/page/n9/mode/1up
