I'm so sick of "government" and it's enTITies using scare tactics and repetitive practices for increasing taxes. Our school board is looking for a 7.3 million dollar bond to astroturf the local high school fields. The issue came up for vote on the referendum on Tuesday and was defeated. End of story? Not even close. The school board plans to meet next month to work on a plan to "get voters on board" and bring another referendum up for vote. The next vote will most likely take weeks to tabulate until they reach their goal of questionable votes and fleecing the taxpayers of their votes and money. By the way, this state recently recinded a law that limited towns of fleecing taxpayers by raising property taxes unreasonably. Towns immediately began fleecing taxpayers with significant property tax increases.
