In my mind, one of the reasons for the ferocity of the House January 6 Committee investigation and the massive FBI investigation of the Capitol riot, was to divert attention away from any investigation of the election itself. The Democratic controlled House Committee on January 6 was an attempt to frame the outgoing President Trump for fomenting an "insurrection", but it was also a wonderful distraction from the colossal fraud and election manipulations of the 2020 election cycle (e.g. the use of "Zuckerbucks", private and other personal money, hundreds of millions of dollars, to literally dictate how elections were administered in "blue" precincts in large urban areas of critical swing states, where it was required to get out and enhance the Democratic Party base, in underserved communities).
