DOJ and Education said Berkeley Law violated Title VI after SFFA — “deliberate” discrimination against white and Asian applicants. Their analysis: in 2025, Black applicants had 5.8 times the odds of a comparable white applicant. Combined 2024–25, half of admitted Black students scored below 95% of admitted white students on the LSAT; 37% below 99%. Investigators cited race, essay prompts, and “primary identity” grouping. Dhillon: “complete disregard for the rule of law.” DOJ wants a voluntary fix or it will sue. Berkeley disputes the findings. Hold everyone accountable.
