The PHP RFC for Property Hooks passed its vote 42-2, which means that, as of PHP 8.4 onward, __get() and __set() will finally sorta-mostly-eventually be obsoleted and replaced by something that will play nicer with types and static analysis tools. And also, you can declare properties in interfaces now. All things considered, PHP is a pretty decent language nowadays. https://wiki.php.net/rfc/property-hooks
