TD blabbed to the world in his first post that the backtick is a BD exclusive. I think there were 702 backticks used by BD in his 4chan archive and 55 on GAB. The backtick or grave or picrel? continues across all archives of BB and TD as well. Theory on this here. The dude in VBM in charge of transcribing and posting on the various internet outposts has an old computer? The backtick is part of old computer character sets. It is character 96. The apostrophe it is used instead of is character 39. Just something to think about. Counterpoint. In all the archives I checked there is one use of apostrophe each by TD and BD and BB. May be done by somebody else? I still have the 21-11-5 BB post in the archive. I will remove in time but once they are gone I sure cannot find them. On another separate but related topic... In his archive tom mentions he was kicked off twitter for a post. I have it on good authority that BB also had/has a twitter account. Sooooo yes the archives are incomplete without these.
