Many of you have been asking if Gab has been under attack with everything that is going on. The short answer is yes. The difference between us and Silicon Valley is that we have been fighting back for months now. This all started earlier this year when the Coronavirus news was breaking from independent journalists in China. Many of them joined Gab at the time after experiencing censorship from WeChat and other big tech apps. State-sponsored bots are attacking the entire internet with anti-American propaganda and other psyops. Twitter is allowing Chinese bots to flood the site with anti-Trump messaging. These aren't real people expressing their opinions. They are robots pushing a narrative from the Communist Chinese government. Another example is Facebook and Youtube sending all of their employees and content moderators home and leaving their platforms to be moderated by robots. It's a total disaster. Real journalists and vital news about the coronavirus is being marked as "spam" and censored by Facebook and Youtube. It's disgusting, irresponsible, and reckless. The usual suspects of activists who LARP as "journalists" are up to their old tricks, writing blog posts attacking Gab and our community even amidst a global pandemic. Teams of academic researchers, funded by US FEDERAL MONEY, are publishing "studies" about our community and website. It's been nonstop, from every angle.
