Some former “Trumpers” (or people who claim to be) insist that this isn't actually happening and that those of us who are still on board are all just “coping” by pretending that Trump is still popular. Others claim that Trump let us down because he didn't do X or he should have done Y or he supports some particular group that he shouldn't. To the first group I say this: Last night Trump drew a larger crowd than most politicians ever draw. If you add in the online views, he just drew one of the largest crowds of any American president in history. On top of which, he's just getting started. There is, indeed, plenty of “copium” going around, as you guys can't seem to put the pipe down. Trump is almost unbelievably popular. Deal with it. To the second group I would point out: Trump supports all Americans, whatever you may think of them personally. He seems to want to unify our county. You don't do that by saying a particular group of people is trying to overthrow the world. He had no problem pointing out that islamic terrorists are terrorists that need to be destroyed, he just refused to say (or in my opinion, even believe) that every us citizen who believes in islam is a terrorist. I would also add that some former “Trumpians” seem to have believed that Trump was going to be some sort of a god. They thought he would win the election and fix all of our problems overnight. Either that or they believe they have all the solutions and that any time Trump did something they wouldn't have that he had somehow made a mistake. Having never been president myself, and not being omniscient, I'm not sure what mistakes Trump made, but he's convinced me that he was trying his best. I didn't vote for Trump to be my new messiah, Jesus Christ is more than sufficient. I didn't vote for him to be perfect, I'm certainly not. I voted for him because I believed he would be the best president in my lifetime, and he was. If I get the chance, I'll vote for him again. Last note: I still believe we can win by voting. If we can't, it will mean civil war. If you're willing to take part in something like that, you should be willing to vote in an attempt to prevent it.
