From the time I was about 3 years old, after my parents gave up a cafe they ran with my father's parents in El Cahon, California, my mother became a stay at home mom. She did all of these things, taking me to dance class, shows we did all over the SF Bay area, and in her spare time was able to make a little money for herself with a company by the name of Beauty Councillor. Yes she was a little critical of women who did not keep a straight house, perhaps overly so, but every day in our house, except for the family room, was like inspector general day.
