Today brought news that Breyer has announced his retirement from the Supreme Court. My gut tells me that we're going to find that had the re-election not been stolen, and Trump won a second term, he would have nominated two more Justices to SCOTUS. Granted, this is a retirement, and likely would have either not happened, or been delayed, but I'll bet that by the end of 2024, we'll see Breyer in a position where, one way or another, his seat would have been opened up regardless. I think another seat will open up too (I'd guess Sotomayor, but could be either.) I also think Thomas would be retiring before 2024 if Trump were in his second term now, but I think he will be there in 2025, when a Republican can appoint his successor.
