Earlier this week I made three shields and swords for the children following these instructions (roughly). I did not use papier mache because painting the shield is messy enough already. I just used duct tape for the shield handles and for the sword. Each child picked, colored, cut and glued a different picture for their own shield. https://www.redtedart.com/make-knights-shield/
